The Dolomites: UNESCO World Natural Heritage

The Dolomites are part of the Eastern Alps and are striking because of their unique pale Dolomite rock. Geographically they straddle the borders of three Italian provinces: South Tyrol, Trentino and Belluno. On June 26 2009, they were added to the list of the most beautiful landscapes on the world by the UNESCO.
