Kuchlkirchtig
Gastronomic “Kuchlkirchtig” tours have been organised every autumn for more than the 20 years.
This full day’s tour through the autumnal colours of the lower mountain area around Brixen, the vivid natural beauty mingling with ancient culture, will leave a lasting impression on the visitor.
As the name of the tour implies, several stops are made along the way to taste and enjoy the pleasures of the Eisacktal cuisine and wine. At a cosy farewell over a traditional snack with music and song, the fading day comes to an end. The Kuchlkirchtig tours take place every year during the first three weeks of October, and every year the tours are altered to take in different restaurant stops along the low slopes.
There’s no other Kuchlkirchtig,
Outside Brixen I know of none
Footloose and fancy free
Wandering from one tiny
Eisacktal village to the nex
Eating, drinking, singing, laughing
And a little music-making.
You should take a day off
And come to Kuchlkirchtig
