St. Magdalena / Santa Maddalena - Kofelwiese
The hike begins in St. Magdalena / Santa Maddalena (1,230 m above sea-level – see picture). Take Trail No. 27 towards the northeast, passing by the "Kugelkofel" and the "Lutheran Church" cult stone.

It is believed that followers of the Lutheran faith (the "Baptists") used to secretly meet at this limestone block to celebrate Divine Services. Near the "Lutheran Church," there's the "Kuchl-Kofl Cave" (or "Kugl-Kofl Cave"), which shepherds once used as a cooking cave.
You should now proceed further towards the Kofel Meadow, where you will encounter Trail No. 32. Turn right here and proceed to the southeast, where you will encounter Trail No. 26. Finally, take Trail No. 33A back to St. Magdalena / Santa Maddalena.
