Trip description: Start: 8.30 a.m. / arrival at 5 p.m. From the car park place Würzjoch (2,000 metres), across the Kompatsch meadows to the western side of the Peitlerkofel. Ascend into the Peitler gap (2,357 metres). After a short and steep ascent, you will walk on slightly hilly ground up and down the Peitler meadows to the Gömajoch (2,111 metres). The path leads you through woods, passing the dwarf pines and grasslands of the Kompatsch meadows, north of the Peitlerkofel and back to the parking place.Theme: the path around the Peitlerkofel leads you through different types of landscapes and great beauty - jagged rocks, wide meadows. The vegetation is rich in form and colour (rubble build-up, plants with padding effect). The little ponds are loved by the mountain newts and the chamois love the pine trees. Marmots are found in the stone cirques. The ravine of the Moi stream offers some insight into the different rock layers of the pre-Dolomite times.Bookings: in all nature park Tourist Board offices.
