Along the “Oberer Herrensteig” (highest point at 2,250 metres) in an easterly direction to the Ötz stream (1,960 metres). A short but steep descent to Caseril and back to Zans. Theme: Since the 16th Century, a lot of woodlands were owned by the Tyrolean Lords. In these "Herrenwäldern" (Lords’ forests), they built "Herrensteige" (Lords’ paths). Today, the “Herrensteige“ are open to the public. Both paths run parallel to the southern side of the Ruefen mountain chain (Afer Geisler). The lower path leads you mostly through forests, the upper path through rocky grassland. Bookings: in all nature park Tourist Board offices.
